My sense for the last year is we are in an iPhone moment. Analog camera with film>digital camera with memory card >iPhone with cloud where the memory card became obsolete. We all own a few digital camera shells that gathering dust
What you have focused on is the hardware layer. Definitely the same transition, where gen 2 GPU’s have been the transition hardware. The next version will make a lot of what has been built redundant. TBH I expect to see the same in the software layer. I’m trying to figure out how it will manifest.
